Sometimes new dams are proposed in remote areas where there are no power lines or where the power lines are too small to accommodate the project's output. If new transmission lines will serve only the project you are analyzing, their entire cost should be included in the analysis. If the new transmission lines will carry electricity from other projects as well, try to determine a reasonable allocation of the cost between projects, perhaps based on their installed capacity.
