Conservation Strategy Fund gives conservation professionals economic skills that are key for success in protecting the environment. We strive to equip every participant in our courses with a solid understanding of economic fundamentals, fluency in the language of economics, and an ability to identify the best opportunities to apply economics to conservation practice. Since 1999, we have trained over 1800 people from over 85 countries.

This course is being offered in partnership with the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and the Center for Conservation Biology at Stanford.

Over the last decade, this course has become recognized as the premier applied economics training event for conservation professionals from around the world.

Herramientas Económicas para la Conservación de la Naturaleza - México 2014

El curso Herramientas Económicas para la Conservación de la Naturaleza ofrece principios y técnicas para analizar de manera integral los aspectos económicos y ambientales en proyectos e iniciativas de desarrollo para facilitar la armonización de la conservación y el manejo de recursos naturales con las actividades económicas. Este curso está dirigido a profesionales trabajando en temas de conservación y desarrollo en México y los países que comprenden el Sistema Arrecifal Mesoamericano (Belice, Guatemala y Honduras).

Analysis of Infrastructure from a Conservation Economics Perspective - Bhutan 2014

Twenty-two participants representing 3 countries and 15 organizations attended CSF's Analysis of Infrastructure from a Conservation Economics Perspective course in Bumthang, Bhutan. During the five-day course, participants gained an understanding of our core curriculum which includes Microeconomics, Natural Resource Economics, Environmental Valuation, and Cost-Benefit Analysis. Additional topics tailored for the region and sector of focus included Environmental Management and Policy, Infrastructure Best-Practice, and relevant case studies. Instructors were drawn from CSF, University of Brasilia, and Cambridge Resources International. Many thanks to our partners at UWICE for working with us to put on an excellent training!

Outils Économiques pour la Conservation et la Planification d’Infrastructures dans le Rift Albertin

Conservation Strategy Fund accepte dès à présent les demandes d'inscription pour le cours d’Outils Économiques pour la Conservation et la Planification d’Infrastructures dans le Rift Albertin, du 17 au 28 juin 2013 en RDC. Ce cours est offert en partenariat avec L'École Régionale post-universitaire d'Aménagement et de gestion Intégrés des Forêts et territoires Tropicaux (ERAIFT) et est rendu possible grâce aux soutiens de l´USAID (United States Agency for International Development), Wildlife Conservation Network, et l´Handsel Foundation. Nous acceptons les inscriptions de personnes travaillant en Ouganda, au Rwanda, au Kenya, en Tanzanie et en République Démocratique du Congo.
