AI & Natural Language Processing Internship
We are seeking a graduate student specializing in natural language processing (NLP) and AI to help us maximize the use of AI for our text-heavy workflows. This includes drafting proposals, generating reports, identifying funding opportunities, and creating communications for donors and funders. While the primary focus is on NLP, the role may also involve applying broader AI techniques to optimize budgeting, financial modeling, and research tasks.

- Content Automation: Develop AI-driven workflows to streamline the creation of social media content, blogs, newsletters, and letters to donors and funders.
- Funding Research: Employ AI tools to automate the identification and analysis of funding opportunities by processing and synthesizing large volumes of text.
- Financial Insights & Budgeting: Apply AI techniques to enhance financial statement generation and budgeting processes, with potential integration of predictive modeling for budget forecasting.
- AI Solution Development: Research and implement AI solutions that improve the organization’s overall workflow, particularly in text-heavy tasks but also extending to broader operational areas.
- Tool Evaluation: Identify and recommend AI tools or platforms that can be used to increase efficiency across multiple departments.

- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in natural language processing, computer science, data science, or a related AI field.
- Experience with natural language processing techniques and tools (e.g., GPT models, text generation, sentiment analysis, information extraction).
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and machine learning platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, etc.).
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to apply NLP solutions to text-based work.
- Interest in conservation, environmental economics, and sustainability.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
