Alfonso Malky

Alfonso joined CSF at the beginning of 2008. He has a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Catholic University of Chile, a degree in Environmental Methodologies and Social Research at the University for Strategic Research in Bolivia, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Bolivian Catholic University. Alfonso has experience in Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile, Paraguay, and Guatemala, with expertise in conservation economics and in the sustainable use of natural resources. His portfolio includes projects on protected areas, infrastructure, biodiversity, land use change, natural resources management, conservation finance, and tourism. Prior to joining CSF, Alfonso worked in the governmental Unit of Social and Economic Policy Analysis (UDAPE) where he participated in the design, monitoring, and evaluation of public policies, with an emphasis on agriculture, forestry, and environmental sectors. Alfonso enjoys traveling, running, biking, and spending time with his family.
