Conservation Strategy Fund stands in solidarity with all those around the world fighting for racial justice and accountability. We recognize that the killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd are only the most recent examples of our long history of institutionalized and systemic racism in the United States. We also recognize that we have a long way to go towards addressing our history of racism and inequality in this country.

Environmental justice and climate justice cannot exist without racial justice. Conservation is meant to unite us all behind a shared goal: a vision of a future where we co-exist not just with our environment, but with each other. I believe that we can find viable solutions to better steward our natural resources in a way that promotes diversity and inclusion for all. But building a more just future starts by listening. Right now, we are listening. And together, we will continue to listen and to support all of those working towards environmental and social justice in their communities.
