Michael Godfrey
Mike Godfrey is an international development professional with 30 years of experience managing programs in Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean. His career has involved work across the development spectrum -- from emergency relief, post-conflict stabilization and food programming to livelihood security, natural resources and agricultural and rural development. He has worked with NGOs and in the private sector both in the US and abroad. Prior to joining the Rainforest Alliance, Mike was the senior director for programs at the World Cocoa Foundation. He also previously worked for 10 years with DAI and 18 years with CARE International. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Forest Management and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and speaks both French and Spanish.
