On March 3, 2020, we officially launched the Piensa Verde Environmental Platform! The event took place in Los Tajibos Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with more than 250 attendees including representatives from all member organizations, partner companies, the UK ambassador to Bolivia, influencers, as well as local and national authorities, including Maria Elva Pinckert, the Minister of Environment and Water; Alfredy Alvarez, Vice Minister of Environment and Biodiversity and Maikol Melgar, Director of the National Protected Areas Service (SERNAP).

During the launch event, the Piensa Verde team explained the platform’s structure and objectives. In addition, there were three guest speakers: visual artist Roxana Hartmann, Valeria Hinojosa, internationally known from Water Thru Skin, who motivated the entire audience to change their consumption habits and to connect with nature; and the Minister of Environment, who spoke about her childhood and recognized the private companies engaged in this initiative.
