Adriana Chacón Cascante
Adriana joined CSF in 2022 as a Senior Economist bringing 14 years of experience working in environmental economics. She has coordinated projects for international organizations in topics related to land use planning, sustainability, economic development, climate change economics, and financial analysis. She has an extensive record of successful research and teaching on natural capital and ecosystem services (valuation, accounting, and impacts on policy processes), policy evaluation, and project formulation. Adriana has been a lecturer at Kansas State University, the University of Costa Rica, Costa Rican Technology Institute, National University of Costa Rica, Earth University, and CATIE. She has experience working in the United States, Latin America (including Peru, Colombia, Panama, Brazil and Central America); the European Union and Korea. Adriana holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University, and an undergraduate degree (Licenature) in Agricultural Economics from the University of Costa Rica.
