Julia Queiroz
Julia joined Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) in 2020 as an Economist and became the Executive Director of the Brazil office in 2024. With 15 years of experience in environmental economics, her research focuses on biodiversity and climate finance, economic instruments for nature protection, innovative financial mechanisms for conservation, economic valuation, and payment for ecosystem services. With extensive experience in training professionals and collaborating with NGOs, academia, international institutions, and the public sector, she is a versatile researcher and consultant with a strong track record in project management, and also known for being open-minded, curious, cooperative, and committed to delivering high-quality results. She is enthusiastic about how economic analysis can create tools, strategies, and arrangements that lead to informed public and private decisions for a more sustainable development path. She holds both a PhD and a Master’s degree in Economics. Her personal interests include sports, yoga, and meditation, reflecting her commitment to a balanced and mindful approach to life.
