A natural resource economist, Ray Victurine has worked on conservation and sustainable development issues in Africa, Asia and Latin America for over 30 years. He is Director of the Business and Conservation Program at WCS and has contributed to the design and development of a variety of conservation finance institutions and has been involved in the design and development of sustainable financing mechanisms for protected areas. He is a member of the boards of Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network, Conservation Finance Alliance, and has been active with organizations engaged in the carbon market. He is also a member of the Biodiversity and Livelihoods Advisory Committee of Total Uganda.
