Alejandra Gonzales Rocabado

Alejandra joined CSF in 2024 to contribute to the “Analysis of the Investment Needs and Employment Content of Bolivia's NDCs” project. With over five years of experience in sustainable development and deforestation issues, Alejandra has worked with organizations such as the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the Socio-Economic Research Institute, and UNICEF in Bolivia. She is also a certified “Sustainability Leader” from the United People Global Institute, having completed an intensive training program in the USA in 2021.

Laura Fuerte

Laura is the Head of the Economics department at Universidad de La Sabana. She is an economist with emphasis on international finance and holds a master's degree in Behavioural and Economic Science from the University of Warwick. With 5 years of experience in the financial sector and more than five years of experience as a professor, she is passionate about advancing the field of economics and contributing to the academic community and society by extending the use of behavioral science for solving pressing economic issues at any scale.

Kristine Lister

Kristine Lister is a summer intern supporting the Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA) in 2024. Kristine supports the CFA Executive Director, Working Groups, and Task Forces through editing publications, coordination, and communications and outreach. Kristine previously worked as a Research Associate at the World Resources Institute, where she led machine learning based research projects for Global Forest Watch and in open data platform management and development for the Data Lab. She holds a B.S.

Minería ilegal de oro provoca pérdida económica de más de $593 millones en la Amazonía peruana

This report shows the results of the application of the CFS's Mining Impacts Calculator in recent (2022 and 2023) illegal mining areas within 3 native communities, all located in the buffer zone of the Amarakaeri Communal Reserve in southern Peru. This is an effort to show from a comprehensive perspective (economic and environmental) the implications of deforestation due to illegal mining in the Peruvian Amazon.
